Before we started with Happy Building we had old sensors with thermostats no one could properly use.
Tenants took it upon themselves to open windows when they were too hot or damage the thermostats when they were too cold. Tenants where uncomfortable, and I had to deal with many complaints. Some tenants moved out because of the poorly controlled heating.
Service for our heating system was also difficult because we couldn't get help on the phone. Last year, HappyBuilding came in with their technology. They put in extra sensors (for example, some like bedrooms hotter, some like them cooler). They regulated the heat perfectly. Previously, heaters never came on in the bedroom when the sensor was near the kitchen.
With HappyBuilding each room has its own sensor, and the apartment is more comfortable. When tenants tell me their apartment is too hot, I simply adjust the computer. When our elderly tenants tell me they generally want their apartments warmer, I make a simple adjustment. It's easy to customize the living space for each tenant.
When I have a problem, I get on the phone. With HappyBuilding, there is someone to call. And a voice to talk to always helps. Our maintenance mechanic is not computer savvy, but he is learning how to use HappyBuilding's system quickly. Tenants love it too. One tenant told us he no longer had to sleep in the living room because his bedroom was too cold.
